Masked is a Girl

Masked is a girl
happy it seems
Happy to be
but without dreams

She wanders
she tries
To describe
to unwind
Her feelings
her thought
And the troubles
unkind

True to her heart
She knows she must stay
Clear to believe
And clear as day

Magic surrounds her
But it seems to hide
In a face
Too hard to describe

Why can’t she seek
What she truly believes?
It is a memory?
Or is it a dream?

Can she move on
In a world full of doubt?
Wishing to let go
Wishing to not drown

The tears she has cried
They are so far gone
And yet they appear
Like they were here all along

Deep in the seas
of her despair, she hopes
She can swim away
Maybe she can float

But in on the land
Where she dared to live
Stayed a place
Too far away to give

Could she embark
On a journey alone?
Into a world
So unset into stone?

Trying to hide
Her true feelings did show
Into a world
Where she was no longer alone

No longer to hide
No longer to seek
Only to be found
And to be left there to weep

But she felt for a day
When the true test would shine
Would all this be gone?
Or could it be mine?

No time could tell
No time could seize
All she had known
Was that this is what was left of she

Unmasked
Uncovered
Undiscovered
Unexplored

She is here to live
Not to be ignored
